What is Livewire?

Homepage screengrab

Livewire is a secure place where you can log on, have fun and connect with other 10 to 18 year olds living with chronic or serious illness. It’s unique because it’s developed in collaboration with you, the Livewire members, and designed specifically for your needs. Through Livewire, you can make contact with young people with similar experiences - anytime, anywhere.

Most of all, Livewire is a space where you can be yourself, express your views and develop friendships with other people of a similar age who share your interests. It gives you the chance to create your own content, whether individually or by working with other members, send instant messages to friends, take part in forums and live chatrooms, update blogs and catch up on the latest news.

Get involved with some or all of these things – it’s up to you. We’ll do our best to make sure the topics introduced are relevant to your interests – just tell us what you most want to hear about, comment on and contribute to.
